AI and editorial transparency
Made with machines.
Finished with judgment.
Technology helps the atlas respond, compose, animate, and listen. It does not get to decide the project's values.
An intelligent atlas
A private, rules-based guide interprets a few bounded choices in your browser and routes you to an authored world. It saves nothing and does not pretend to be generative AI.
Personal editions
A bounded story engine will compose from approved settings, emotional directions, lengths, and exclusions—never from an open-ended trauma confession.
The release gate
Every public story needs editorial approval, rights records, originality and safety review, voice direction, and a complete listening pass.
A setting, emotional movement, exclusions, and a real ending.
Generative tools help explore language, sound, artwork, and software.
Weakness, repetition, safety, pacing, voice direction, and rights are reviewed. Rowan, the narrator of the first room, is a licensed synthetic voice.
Only complete work gets a play button. Planned work stays labeled planned.
The boundary
AI is a story instrument—not a counselor.
Still Awake will not diagnose, provide therapy, imitate a human in crisis, fabricate listeners, or quietly convert vulnerable nighttime details into advertising data.
Personalization will be optional, bounded, private by design, and built with cost limits before it becomes public.
